She was born in Secunderabad, Telangana and her family hails from Patna, Bihar.

She attended Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi and she pursued a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.

She attempted the civil services exam in English Medium with PSIR as her Optional Subject.
